ELSIE KAY
Mrs. Elsie Kay, 87, of Killen, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the home of her son.
Mrs. Kay was born on August 13, 1921 in Sheffield, England and was one of eleven children. She lived there until she moved to America eight years ago to be with her son and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to laugh and joke.
A time of visitation will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home.
She is survived by a son Graham Staniland and wife Sandra, Killen; grandsons Steven Staniland, Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, Shaun Staniland, Killen, and Spencer Staniland, Sarnia, Ontario, Canada; great-grandchildren, Seth, Shane, Mariah and Julia Staniland; brothers and sister, Albert Kent, William "Bill" Kent, and Sheila Hancock, all of Sheffield, England.
In tears we saw you sinking We watched you fade away Our hearts were almost broken You fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping So peacefully from pain We could not wish you back To suffer that again. R.I.P. Mom R.I.P. Nan
