Memorial service for Emma Brooke Blankenship, 23, of Moulton will be Sunday, August 12, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Brother Mark Wakefield officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Miss Blankenship, who died Thursday, August 9, 2012, was born August 19, 1988, in Morgan County to Rickey and Angie Blankenship. She graduated from Lawrence County High School in 2006 and from Wallace State Community College in May with a degree in radiology technology. She just started her first job at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tenn., in June. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alexa; grandparents, Billy and Lavenia "Tiptoe" Blankenship and Tennis "Gitch" Anderton and cousin, Jaime Ridge.
Survivors include her parents; grandparents, Glendale Anderton, Dale and Faye Armstrong; uncles and aunts, Ricky and Vickie Dutton, Tim and Debbie Blankenship, Jan Anderton, Kaye and Jim Ridge and Bob Jeffreys; cousins, Lance Jeffreys, Shannon Nelson, Stacie SanSoucie, Meredith Clark, Matt Dutton, Summer Terry, Nicholas Ridge, Shelly Blankenship, Amanda Johnson and lifelong best friend, Sarah Garrett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, Soles for Souls or the Lawrence County Animal Shelter.
