Creola Emma Richardson, age 96, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday March 22, 2017. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 25, at Corinth Baptist Church. She will lie in state at the Church one hour prior to the Service. Bro. Gary McGee officiating and Elliott funeral Home directing. Interment will follow at the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Friday March 24, 2017, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. at Elliott Funeral Home.
She was born August 15, 1920 in Morgan County to Samuel Orville McGee and Mattie Lois Johnson McGee who both preceded her in death. She was the oldest member of Corinth Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bertice Richardson, three Brothers: Winfred, Warren and Vesey McGee. She is also preceded by a baby sister, and one grandson, Randy.
Survivors include two sons: Greg (Linda) Richardson and James "Buddy" Richardson. Seven grandchildren: Pam, Myles, Melissa, Scott, Devon, Ashley and Beau. She also has eleven great grandchildren.
