Funeral for Emmett "Bud" Ayers, 78, of Moulton will be today, March 25, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Pearl Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Landersville Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Ayers died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 18, 1930, in Lawrence County to Paul Jones Ayers and Ellie Mae Ayers. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Brown Ayers; two children, Kelly Bahena (Pedro) and Emmett Ayers Jr. (Jessica); six grandchildren, Christopher Ayers, Amethyst Kirby, Maria Bahena, Pedro Bahena Jr., Sofia Bahena and Isaiah Ayers; one brother, James Ayers (Janie); and one sister, Ruby Graham (Joe). Pallbearers will be Emmett Ayers Jr., James Ayers, Don Hutto, Cecil Terry, Tim Warren and Rex Brown.
