Funeral for Ernestine McCullar Gibson, 91, of Decatur will be today, July 10, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sherry Harris and the Rev. Sandra Locke-Godbey officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Gibson, who died Sunday, July 7, 2013, was born January 12, 1922, in Winston County to David and Effie Frances McCullar. She was a charter member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Her husband, James W. Gibson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Paetz and husband, Juergen, of Grant and Susan Henderson and husband, Mike, of Decatur; four grandchildren, Elaine Berger, Amy DeMatteis, Josh Henderson and Katie Henderson; and three great-grandchildren, Tripp Jones, Hali Echols and Emma DeMatteis.
