Graveside service for Etta Jane 'Jeanne' Leaverton, 84, Decatur will be Tuesday Jan. 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with Evan Garner officiating. Burial will be at Decatur City Cemetery.
Jeanne Leaverton who died Wednesday Dec. 27, 2017 was born on Feb. 12, 1933, in Ardmore to John White and Georgia Bittick White.
She is survived by one daughter; Lizabeth Courtney Carter (Mrs. S. Russell Carter) of Welaka, Florida, four grandchildren; Sarah Carter, Haddonfield, NJ, Stanley Carter, Vero Beach, FL, Patrick Carter, Tampa, FL and Margaret Carter, Valdosta, Ga, and two great-granddaughters.
