Euell Junior Cole, 81, passed away Monday at ECM Hospital after a brief illness. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3, 2011, from 5:30-8:30PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 12PM at Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Kenny Morgan and Jason Vinson officiating. Mr. Cole will lie in state from 11AM-12PM at the church. Burial will follow at Nebo Cemetery. Mr. Cole served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Reynolds Metals after 29 years of employment. He enjoyed cattle farming, he was a member of the Lexington Masonic Lodge #613 and a member of Springfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder, and an avid Crimson Tide Fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen Cole; daughter, Kimberly Cole Hamner (Rick Sims); son, Reggie Cole (Angela); sister, Millinea Howard; brother, Jack Cole (Rose); four grandchildren, Nicholas Hamner, Will Cole, Jake Cole, and Alicia Douell; one aunt; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Hamner, Will Cole, Jake Cole, Mike McCain, John Cole, and Ronnie Putnam. Honorary pallbearers will be cousins, nephews, and members of the Lexington Masonic Lodge #613.
