Mr. Stutts resided in the Greenhill community until he was called to serve in the 83rd Division of the 331st Infantry in WWII. He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic and meritorious achievement. After his service, he worked as an electrical engineer for TVA. Upon retirement, he pursued his hobby, opening Stutts Iron Shop where he became known for his decorative wrought ironwork. Most days, he could be found at his shop, overseeing operations.
Above all, Mr. Stutts was a kind, generous, Christian man who loved his family, his church family, his friends, and his little dog, Spooky. He took great pride in his WWII service, and was selected to go on the Honor Flight to visit the WWII memorial in Washington, D.C.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Julie Marks; parents, Charlie and Mary V. Stutts; brother: Conrad Stutts; sisters, Gladys Hollingshead, and Maggie Sue Brewer.
