Funeral for Eugene H. Lyons, 84, of Decatur wil be Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Culotta and the Rev. Ray Remke officiating and Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Columbarium. A wake service will be Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Mr. Lyons, who died Friday, May 18, 2007, at his residence was born July 15, 1922, in Ashland, Wisc., to Everett and Florence Lyons. Gene spent most of his working life in the insurance business and later ran Desiderata (garden ornamentation business). Survivors include his friend, Robert Carroll; three cousins, Patricia A. Szafarz of Washburn, Wisc., Donna Method of Green Valley, Ariz., and Sister Joyce Miller FSPA of Woodbury, Minn. The family request donations be made to Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church.
