Funeral for Juanita Smallwood, 85, of Decatur will be Thursday, February 19, 2015, at 2 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. John Phillip and Dr. Phillip Sessions officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the church. Mrs. Smallwood was born October 21, 1929, in Cherokee to Edgar Lewis Brown and Nellie Humphreys Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Smallwood; son, Charles R. Smallwood; and sisters, Edith Howell and Marion Cartee.Survivors include one daughter, Anita Branum; three sons, Randy, Gary, Roger Smallwood and Carolyn; daughter-in-law, Linda Jo Smallwood; sister, Martha Posey; brother, Sonny Brown; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
