Eunell Lambert Longshore, 70, of Florence, Alabama, passed away October 10, 2009.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm, October 12, at Elkins Funeral Home, with funeral services the following morning, October 13, beginning at 10am at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Ken Westmoreland will be officiating with her obituary being read by Don McBrayer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Homer Lambert and Violet Davis Lambert.
Mrs. Longshore was born in Prentiss County, Mississippi and graduated from Florence State University. Upon graduating, she worked for Eastman Kodak in Kingsport, Tennessee and later for TVA.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, William C. Longshore; daughter, Carol Eckl and husband Tony; son, Alan Longshore and wife Kim; 4 grandchildren, Jack, Dan, and Sara Beth Eckl and William A. Longshore; sister; Barbara Cheatham and husband Joe; brothers, Jack Lambert and wife Dorothy, Leo Lambert and wife Annabel; and special nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Lambert, Joey Merrill, Brian Longshore, Tom Longshore, Todd McBrayer and Mike McCrary.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family would like to thank Dr. Brown, Dr. Rhuland, Dr. Reinke, the ICU staff at ECM Hospital and the staff at Mid South Home Care Services.
Eunell will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She always greeted the day with a smile and a ready laugh. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.
