Funeral for Eva Stewart Kadlec, 88, of Decatur will be Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Kadlec, who died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at her residence, was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Lawrence County to Jim and Maggie Collins Stewart. She was a member of Austinville Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kadlec, who retired from Kaiser Jeep in Toledo, Ohio. Mrs. Kadlec retired as a nurse and caregiver at the Convalescent Center in Decatur. She loved her family dearly, loved to be around children, and enjoyed gospel music and gardening. Survivors include three sons, Carl Gene Bell and his wife, Pam, James Leon Bell and his wife, Linda, and Steve Stewart Kadlec; one brother, Hershel Stewart; one sister, Marie Moultrie; seven grandchildren, Gaylon Bell, Robert Bell, Brenda McWilliams, Alan Bell, Len Bell, Cathy Ratliff and Hunter Bell; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gaylon Bell, Robert Bell, Alan Bell, Len Bell, Jason McWilliams and Casey Bell.
