Decatur
Funeral for Evelyn M. McCarley, 78, of Decatur will be Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Forman officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. McCarley, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, was born June 19, 1930, in Lawrence County to Emitt and Minnie Lee Mayfield. She retired from Wayne Farms with 38 years of service. Survivors include two sons, Garry Reed and wife, Myra, and Dewey W. Reed Jr.; one daughter, Kimberly Harris, and husband, Frank; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Mrs. McCarley's special friend, Mary, and The Good Samaritan Hospice.
