Funeral for Everette "Elbert" Flannagin, 82, of Decatur will be Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Bellview Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mr. Flannagin, who died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at his residence, was born July 27, 1926, in Lawrence County to Arthur Flannagin and Mary Hood Flannagin. He was a heavy equipment operator for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sue Flannagin; daughter, Vickie Hubbard; three brothers, Clarence, R.C. and Junior; five sisters, Annie Millwood, Mammie Melson, Zadie Odell, Lucille Williams and Mavene Hood; and one grandson, Christian Hubbard.
