Fannie Ruth Hammond, 80, of Rogersville died Sunday, December 20, 2015, at ECM Hospital.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Elkins East Chapel from 12-2 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel with J.D. Harrison officiating. Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery.
Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her husband, Berl Hammond; daughter, Belinda Hammond; infant son, John Thomas Hammond; parents, Rufus and Vona Cates; sisters, Magalan Bullard and Vivalee Davis.
Mrs. Hammond is survived by her three sons, Tony Hammond, James Hammond (Loria), and Eddie Hammond (Julie); seven grandchildren, Erica Hammonds (Carlos), Tamerian Hammond (Taylor), Belinda Hammond, Devin, Lakin, Noah, and Isabella Hammond; four great-grandchildren, Cody Hammonds, Andrew Hammonds, Kayden Hammond, and Briar Scott; two sisters, Flossie Nunley (Larry) and Virginia Dillion (Paul); brother, Thomas Cates (Shirley).
Pallbearers will be Devin Hammond, Derance, Larry, and Bobby Smith, Kim Bunch, Ray "Moochie" Garner, Taylor Scott, and Colt Burgess.
