Decatur Graveside service for Wayne Hurt Sr., 74, of Decatur will be Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Winston Memorial Gardens in Haleyville with Pastor Paul Chesier officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Hurt, who died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at his residence, was born November 17, 1940, in Edmonds, KY. He served in the United States Navy and retired from Redstone Arsenal. He was a member of First Bible Church. His daughter, Crystal Elizabeth Hurt, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Anne L. Hurt; five sons, Wayne Hurt Jr. and wife, Jamie, Jason Hurt and wife, Mona, Robert Ramey and wife, Edie, Richard Ramey and Angela and Ryan Ramey; one daughter, Sheree Hutchens and husband, Michael; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Hurt and Donel Hurt; and one sister, Mildred Lowe.
