Fraulein White Butler, 88, of Killen died Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2016, from 12-2 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel with Bro. James Waddell officiating. Burial will be at Butler Cemetery.
Mrs. Butler went to Athens and Florence Colleges to teach special education classes, she started this for her own children, at the age of 54 she returned to school to become a LPN. She loved church and taught 5th and 6th grade Sunday school classes. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Center Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Olie Butler and son, Vickey Lee Butler.
Mrs. Butler is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Butler; foster daughter, Diane Kyle (Jerry); sister, Ingrid Butler; two brothers, Euell White (Euna) and JG White (Billie); foster grandchildren, Ursula Terry (Greg) and Charles Smith (Elizabeth); several nieces and nephews.
She is the mother of two special children. She loved those two children just like she loved every child she ever encountered. She made them all feel special. But she had a particular talent for seeing and seeking out the ones who maybe, needed just a little extra. She is one in a million and the world will sorely miss her.
Pallbearers will be Danny White, Drew Butler, Chris Phillips, Rodney Butler, Eric Starkey, and Jeff Eubank. Honorary pallbearers will be Ashley Phillips, Blake Phillips, Eli Henson, Sean Starkey, Seth Starkey, and Randy Paul Nesmith.
