Gail Patrick MacBeath age76 of Florence passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence from Noon till 2:00 P.M. Services will follow in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev Chris Montgomery officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Park.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ottis G. MacBeath. Her father and mother, Clifford and Louise Patrick and a nephew Brad Haeger.

Gail is survived by one daughter Susan M. Peeden (Scott). One son David MacBeath (Sherry) and one step daughter Madge MacBeath Huecker (Joe). Four grandchildren, Adam Christopher Peeden, Cody Alexander Peeden, Antonio MacBeath and Ryan MacBeath. One sister Cindy Haeger (Wally) and one nephew John Patrick Haeger.

She graduated from Coffee High School, Graduated from Florence State with a Bachelor Degree in Education and from UNA with a Masters in English. She was a member of Edgemont United Methodist Church and she sang in the choir. Gail enjoyed traveling with her friends and family. Most of all, taking care of her grandsons, Adam and Cody, was her favorite activity. She was Reference Librarian at the Florence Lauderdale Public Library for several years and retired from Leighton Elementary School.

Pallbearers will be Scott Peeden, David MacBeath, Barry Barnett, Ray Holcomb, Wally Haeger and Joe Huecker.

Honorary pallbearers are Joe Massenberg, Jake Mays and Charles Marshall.
