George Allen Scott, 83 of Florence, AL passed away Monday, November 19, 2018.  He was a native of Lauderdale Co and attended Coffee High School.  He was retired from GM and Ford Motor Company after many years of service.  He was also known by many in the community for his welding skills and all his handy work around the campus of Mars Hill Bible School.  He was a member of Florence Blvd Church of Christ and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Tri-Cities Memorial Garden with Cody Peery, Joe Wells and Dale Boren officiating.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Estelle Scott; parents, Elmer and Allie Scott; brothers, James, Herman, and Johnnie Scott; sisters, Eloise Faulkner, Mildred Watson and Jessie Wright.

Survivors include his daughter, Jenny Layne Williams; grandson, Brayden Allen Williams; granddaughter, Adalyn Estelle Williams and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dave Gooch, Josh Rogers, Josh Gooch and Scott Durham.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mars Hill Bible School in honor of George Scott.
