Gertrude Mildred Fisher, age 95, passed away on December 10, 2024 at 12:10 am.

Mrs. Fisher was the daughter of Oscar and Mildred Parrish Hannah and the wife of John A. Fisher all of whom have preceded her in death. She was born on September 5, 1929 at Florence, AL and had 5 brothers and two sisters, also deceased.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by her nieces and nephews and one special niece, Melva Wylie who was always there when needed.

All who knew Gertrude loved her as she was known for her friendly nature and her love for all.

The service will be at 2:30 at Elkins Funeral Home with Ted Vafeas, Kiki Terry and Phillip Skipworth officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior at 1:30.

Pallbearers are Phillip Hannah, Andy Hannah, Greg DeWalt and Richard Pflueger, Hal Harbin, Doug Harbin. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Hester, Jim Lunsford, Sheila Lee, Ruth Carpenter, Jane Spain, and Jan Pflueger.
