Gilbert Hill, 91, of Florence passed away on November 10, 2020. Gilbert was a the owner of Gilbert Hill Bonding and served the community for many years as a bail bondsman, a Justice of the Peace in the 70's, serviceman in both the US Air Force and Army National Guard- being discharged private 1 ^st class, and owned and managed Hill's Grocery with his brother in the 90's.

Gilbert is survived by his grandchildren, Janie (Chris) Burgess, Leslie (Miranda) Hill, Josh Keaton; great-grandchildren, Regen Keaton, Colby Burgess; sister Patricia (Dickie) Howard; and 13 nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Velma Hill; his loving wife, Susie May Hill; son, Gilbert "Danny" Hill Jr.; siblings, Opal Gray, Sue Maness, Howard Hill, William Hill, and Fred Hill.

There will be a graveside held for Mr. Hill at Florence City Cemetery on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Gilbert's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
