Funeral for Ginger Murphy-Long, 66, of Decatur will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Murphy died Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born July 8, 1950 in Morgan County. She was a member of chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ezra Sides and Jerry Nelson. Also an infant son, Shannon Olen Murphy; father, Van Olen Murphy; and brother, Ricky Van Murphy.
Survivors include her mother, Norma Jean Milton; two sisters, Savann Beason and husband Jerry, and Tammy Brown and husband Lavern; one brother, Tom Murphy and many nieces and nephews. She was very devoted to her family and absolutely adored her nephews and nieces.
