Funeral for Gladys Byford Elkins, 81, of Decatur will be today, May 9, 2007, at 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Green and the Rev. Daniel Green officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Elkins, who died Monday, May 7, 2007, was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Morgan County to Ben A. Byford and Mary A. Byford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Elkins; and one grandson, Chad Elkins. Survivors include two sons, Allen Elkins and Mickey Elkins; four grandchildren, Todd Elkins, Brandon Elkins, Tyler Elkins and Brittany Elkins; four greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dyke Thompson, Jimmy Thompson, Guy Thompson, Eddie Thompson, Todd Elkins, Brandon Elkins and Tyler Elkins.
