Funeral for Glenda Jean Pettit, 83, of Decatur will be Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Chapel with the Reverend Sherry Harris officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Pettit, who died Monday, February 11, 2013, was born June 30, 1929, in Lamar County to John Collier and Lela Otts Collier. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a longstanding member of the Rosetta Sunshine Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. "Jim" Pettit.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Pettit and Dante Pettit, both of Decatur; and one daughter, Kathy Pettit Nix of Alexandria, Va.
