Mrs. Gloria Goins Burns, 79, of Florence passed away after an extended illness with family by her side.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Elkins Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Spivy officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Burns was a member of the East Colbert Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death in 2003 by her husband of 56 years, Arlin W. Burns, parents Albert and Florence Goins and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by daughters Patricia O''Kelley and husband Don of Killen, Treasa Crowden and husband Rodger of Anderson and Penny Spivy and husband Tim of Florence; grandchildren Keith O''Kelley, Amy Marks (Craig), Rodrick Crowden (Amy), Edmond Crowden (Tika), Amanda Wallace (Andrew), Ryan Nichols and Serrah Nichols; sisters Mary Morrow of Florida and Polly Childers of Tennessee; brother Jimmy Goins of Virginia;14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Keith O''Kelley, Edmond Crowden, Rodrick Crowden, Ryan Nichols, Craig Marks and Andrew Wallace.
