Gloria Dean Jenkins, 76, of Florence passed away Friday, July 13, 2018, surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 19, 2018, 11 AM to 1 PM at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence.  Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the chapel with Bro. Matt Fowler officiating.  Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Jenkins worked many years at the (old) Florence Clinic and R&D Trucking Company.  She was a member of the former Weeden Heights Baptist Church and was a graduate of Lauderdale County High School.

Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, James (Jim) Jenkins, Jr.; mother, Mary Eddis Gorell; grandparents, Donie and Lula Thornton.

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her sons, J.W. Jenkins and Terry Jenkins (Melody); daughters, Tracey Angel (Delane) and Dian Hargett (Neal); grandchildren, Scott Jenkins, Amy Grice, Jake Hargett, Stephen Angel, Mark Angel, and Kayln Angel; step-grandchildren, Jeremy Hargett, Jamey Hargett, Justin Snyder, and Nathan Snyder; several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Delane Angel, Stephen Angel, Neal Hargett, Jake Hargett, Scott Jenkins, Chris Kilpatrick, Kevin Kilpatrick, Ronnie Young, and Sam Wrather.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Hargett, Mark Angel, and Carlton Kilpatrick.
