Obituary

Mr. Grady Lee LeMaster, 79, of Killen, passed away suddenly Sunday, May 3, 2009.
Mr. LeMaster owned and operated Grady''s Grocery in Killen for years. He then became a painter and foreman at ECM Hospital and for 28 years refreshed the exterior and rooms and hallways of the hospital and those of Mitchell-Hollingsworth Annex.
He was a kind and gentle man who never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing his chicken stew with family and friends. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Center Star and Killen Masonic Lodge #788, a Master Mason, York Rite, a life-member of Cahaba Shrine and Provost Guard, and the Order of the Eastern Star #328, Killen.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home. Bro. Ronnie Jones will officiate. Burial, with Masonic rites, will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Grady is survived by his wife Martha S. LeMaster; son Ronnie Bryan and wife Glenda, Rogersville; and a very special grandson, Blake Bryan, who knew him as "Paw Paw".
He was preceded in death by his parents, James O. LeMaster, Sr. and Annie Blanche Smith LeMaster; brothers and sisters, James O. "Buddy" LeMaster, Harold LeMaster, William H. LeMaster, Julia Mae Harris, Mavolene Morgan, Lucille Kennedy, and Ella Lorene Stephens.
Pallbearers will be James Harold LeMaster, Kenneth LeMaster, Sammy LeMaster, Jack Bryan, Bill Bryan, and Earl Tank. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Lanier, Tommy Bradford and Larry Davis.
The family would like to thank the ECM Emergency Room staff.
