Funeral for Mrs. Grady Mae Vest, 89, Danville will be Friday, February 2, 2007 at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Ray Halbrooks and Estus Hardin officiating. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery in Lawrence County. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 until 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Vest, who died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at NHC in Moulton, was born on September 2, 1917 in Oakville to Grady Lowery and Lula Birt Hill Lowery .She was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. In her high school years, she was always proud of being on a championship basketball team and the honor of being named All County basketball player for three years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis "Peanut" Vest. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Davis McNalley, special niece, Martha Aldridge; two grandchildren, Kristal Walling and husband Brent and Chase Davis;two great grandchildren, Kelsey Rae and Gunnar Walling; four nieces, Helen, Carolyn, Shelia and Holly. Pallbearers will be Garry Lindsey, Jerry Lindsey, Hansel Aldridge, Ray McWhorter, Carroll Hill, Mitchell Hembree, David Thompsonand Kenny Johnson.
