Gregory Gene Gamble, 58, of Easley South Carolina, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Elkins Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00  P.M.  A chapel service will be held at Elkins Funeral Home Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Mike Crews will be officiating. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Michael "Tommy" Gamble; grandparents Bill and Vera Gamble, and Nettie M. Hobson &* William Maloney Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna Gamble; daughter, Audrey Grace Gamble; parents, Billy and Joyce Gamble; brother, James Matthew "Jim" Gamble; Father and Mother In law, Bruce and Shirley Dawson; nephews, Zachary Gamble, Cole Dawson, Blake Dawson, and Nathan Dawson; nieces, Laura Dawson, Emily Dawson, and Abrie Gamble.

Mr. Gamble served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years and retired as a Master Sergeant. He enjoyed all sports but golf was one of his favorites, and he loved music of all genres, reading and astronomy. What he enjoyed most of all was his family. He admired his Uncle Mike Maloney, and loved his brothers Tommy and Jim dearly. He met his wife Deanna Dawson while they were both enlisted in the Air Force, and it was love at first site. The married iat Langley Air force Base in Virgina on Febuary 10, 1989. They spent 18 years together in Alaska where they had their daughter Audrey on July 19, 2002. He loved raising his daughter who says he was the "best Daddy ever" and Deanna says of her husband of 29 years "he was the best and most loving husband and father a wife could ever want."

Pallbearers will be James Dawson, David Dawson, Tommy Rickard, Conor Rickard, Clarence Prestige, Cody Fenn and Rusty Carbine.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude Hospital at 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
