Graveside service for Gwendolyn J. Black, 86 of Decatur will be Monday Dec. 11, 2017 at Burningtree Cemetery with Rev. Bonnie Sims officiating. Burial will be at Burningtree Cemetery. No visitation.
Mrs. Black who died Friday at her home on Dec. 8, 2017 was born on Jan. 5, 1931, in Birmingham, AL to William Jones and Frances Lockett Jones.
She is survived by her husband R.B. Black Sr. of Decatur, two sons; R.B. Black Jr. of Decatur and Steven Black and wife Debbie of Decatur, sister; Sarah Elizabeth Key of Auburn, grandchildren; Lindsay Farrer and husband Micah, Jessie and Pamela Dodgen and Cinie Dodgen, great-grandchildren; Heather, Tyler, Brodie and Gracie.
Family request donations to Hopsice of North Alabama in lieu of flowers.
