Funeral for H. Russell Bolding, 88, of Decatur will be Thursday, February 18, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home with Alan Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Bolding, who died Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital, was born December 3, 1921, in Morgan County to General Lee Bolding and Belle Earwood Bolding. He was the past president of the Decatur Jaycees and Kiwanis Club. He served as Mayor of Decatur from 1972 to 1976. He is survived by his wife, Mary Virginia Bolding; two sons, Russell Van Bolding and his wife, Charlene, and David Counts Bolding; one daughter, Cindy Bolding Martin; two grandsons, Charlie Bolding and Russ Martin; and four granddaughters, Molly Bolding, Caki Bolding, Elizabeth Prince and Lauren Martin. Memorials may be made to the Grant Street Church of Christ Building Fund.
