Obituary

Harvey Weakley Redding, Jr., 83, of Killen died Saturday, August 24, 2024, at NAMC.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27, 2024, 6-8 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 28, 2024, 1 PM at Center Star Methodist Church with Bro. Mark Parris officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Redding served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Florence Masonic Lodge F&AM #14. He was retired from Reynolds Metals as a truck driver. He was a member of the Center Star Methodist Church.

Mr. Redding was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Redding; parents, Harvey Sr. and Lucy Redding; brothers, Rufus Redding and Elmer Redding; sister, Christine Parker.

He is survived by his children, Connie Oleham (David), Michelle Clute (David), Heather Jones (Jason), and Michael Redding (Terry); grandchildren, Candace Moore (Billy Slappey), Shane Moore (Ashley), Ethan Jones, Dakota Jones, Patrick Redding, and Tucker Clute; great-grandchildren, Bailey Moore, Brooklyn Moore, Mailey Moore, Bliss Moore, Nalliey Jackson, Kylin Shubert, Dominick Michael, Ashley Slappey, and Bradley Slappey; sister, Thelma Watson; several nieces and nephews.
