Hazel Oaks (Mcadams) Oaks' Obituary
Hazel V. Oaks, 96, of Florence died Friday, May 03, 2013, at her residence.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Elkins East Chapel from 12-2 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel with Michael Nash officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.
Mrs. Oaks was preceded in death by her husband Hiram Oaks; son Gale Oaks; sisters, Flora Lee, Nell Layfield, Elna McGee, and Leona McAdams; brother, Elton McAdams.
She is survived by her sister Milinea Michael of Florence; a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Oaks was a member of United Methodist Church of Killen.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Brown and caregivers, Mary Nash, Sharon Hall, and Liz Philips and for the prayers and deeds of the members of the United Methodist Church of Killen.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to United Methodist Church of Killen.
