Funeral for Hazel Sparkman Moore, 87, of Decatur will be Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Dr. Rob Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moore, who died Saturday, May 9, 2015, at River City Healthcare, was born September 2, 1927, in Morgan County to George Olan Sparkman and Mary Louise Jones Sparkman. She was a member of Central Baptist Church for 58 years. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Wade Moore; daughter, Renee Moore Wilson; her husband of 50 years, Herman T. Moore Sr.; and sister, Regina Turner.

Survivors include two sons, Herman T. "Sparky" Moore and wife, Joan, and Greg Moore and wife, JoAnn; one brother, Dr. Brandon Sparkman and wife, Ann; one sister, Fran Lorance; nine grandchildren, Brent, Julie, Kelly, Brooke, Tracey, Daniel, Ryan, Lindsey and Chris; and 14 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Darian, Carlie, Allie, Jacob, Joshua, Carson, Kathy, Alex, Avery, Griffin, Campbell and Fuller.

Pallbearers will be family members.

The family would like to say thank you to Dr. Steven Chandler for his many years of devoted care. The family would also like to thank River City Healthcare and staff for their care.
