Mrs. Helen Muse Edwards, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, December 7,2011 at ECM Hospital following an illness of several months. She was 85.
The visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 at Elkins Funeral Home. The graveside service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Greenview Cemetery with Chad Hess officiating.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death in 2009 by her husband of 62 years, Leland G. Edwards. Through the years she kept a wonderful, loving home for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Woodmont Baptist Church and the Pairs and Spares Sunday School class.
She is survived by a daughter Jan Edwards Stone and husband Ronnie of Florence; a son Eddy Edwards of Florence; grandchildren Jonathan Edwards and wife Brandi, Janna Stone Hess and husband Chad, and Kim Stone Olive and husband Brent, all of Florence; great-grandchildren Livia, Lilly Ann, Landon, Bella Claire and Dillon; a sister Ruth M. Chambers of Asheville, NC and a sister-in-law Eva Muse of Florence.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Edwards, Blake Edwards, Johnny Muse, Brent Olive, Bill Inskeep and Jim Green. The family thanks Dr. Lyman Mitchell and those who were involved in her care.
