Funeral for Helen Leigh, 96, of Montgomery, formerly of Moulton will be Wednesday at 2:00 P. M. at Moulton Church of Christ with Ray McWhorter, Bill Becker and Hoyt Nelson officiating Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 2 PM at Moulton Church of Christ. Mrs. Leigh who died Sunday, February 18, 2007, was born January 26, 1911 in Winston County to James Henry and Lavada McCreless Burks. She was a member of Moulton Church of Christ. She spent most of her career as a First Grade teacher at Moulton Elementary School where she retired after 34 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Herbert Leigh, four brothers, Roy, Henry, Woodrow and William "Bill" Burks, and one sister, Floy B. NeSmith. Survivors include one daughter, Marsha Griffin and husband Don of Montgomery; two grandchildren, Bradford J. Griffin and wife Nicole of Montgomery and Sara Jane Campbell and husband Brittan of Alabaster. Pallbearers will be Bradford J. Griffin, Brittan Campbell, Dalton Counts, Chris Counts, James Forbes and John NeSmith.
