Herman Bauersachs
Decatur Herman Bauersachs, 86, originally of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017, surrounded by family at home in Decatur.
Herman served our country in the United States Army. He retired from Halliburton Company after 31 years of service. Herman was a faithful man and a member of Finley Baptist Church in Henderson, Kentucky and Southside Baptist Church in Decatur. Herman loved the Lord and his family. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Pearl Bauersachs; and his brother, Floyd Bauersachs.
Survivors include Sherry Bauersachs, his wife of 37 years, originally of Henderson, Kentucky; his son and spouse, Bernard and Bini Bauersachs of Frankfort, Germany; his daughter and spouse, Jill and Gil Cook of Decatur; three grandchildren, Mark Franz and spouse, Larissa, Julia Bauersachs and Levi Cook; and one great-grandchild, Paulina Franz. One surviving sister, Ms. Hilda Yeager of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The funeral service will be Friday, March 31st at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson, Kentucky at 2 p.m. with Reverend Jeff Burke officiating. Visitation will begin that morning at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Kentucky.
