Herman "Smitty" Smith, Sr.  84 of Killen, AL passed away Friday, July 20, 2018.  He was a native of Lawrence Co, AL and was a member of North Carolina Church of Christ.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at North Carolina Church of Christ from 11-1:00 p.m.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Don Williams and Leon Cole officiating.  Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vennie Smith and Ora Woodruff; son, Anthony Smith; daughter, Vicky Richardson; brother, Eugene Smith; granddaughter, Dawn Vandiver; great granddaughter, Courtney Collier and great grandson, T.J. Vandiver.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Barbara Smith; children, Belinda Creasy (Jerry), Herman "Sonny" Smith, Jr., Renee Hamm (Pete); daughter-in-law, Connie Smith; grandchildren, Michael Creasy (Jaime), Gage Creasy (Rachel), Tyler Creasy (Jen), Lacey Hamm (Andy), Braxton Hamm, Colton Smith; great grandchildren, Morgan, Reagan, James, Ryann, Hunter, Tucker, Sutton, and Rhett Creasy, Memphis Parrish, Brynlee Turner and Charli Collier; brothers, Dewayne (Janice) Bill and Gary (Cyndi) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, Kenneth Barnett, Larry Howell and Bill Carter.

Pallbearers will be Michael Creasy, Gage Creasy, Tyler Creasy, Braxton Hamm, Joey Smith and Anthony Hamm.
