Funeral for Hilda Caine Jackson, 85, of Moulton will be Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Elliott Funeral Home with Dr. Darryl Wood officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Jackson, who died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital, was born March 10, 1921 in Lawrence County to Anthony Russell and Bessie Richardson Caine. She was a legal secretary to James Miller & Earl Proctor in Moulton for a number of years. She then worked for Lawrence County Abstract Co., where her interest in history & genealogy began. Later, she worked in admissions at Mid-American Baptist Theological Seminary, where she met and remained in contact with young preachers & their families. After returning to Moulton, she enjoyed her family, home & yard. She also enjoyed volunteer work at the Lawrence County Archives. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Moulton, Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard K. Jackson; two brothers, Anthony Caine & Billy Caine; and sister, Delores Caine Beaton. She is survived by three daughters, Carol Chenault & husband Don, Susan Nix & husband Rodger, and Kay Harris & husband David; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild; two brother, Cecil Caine Sr. & wife Dorothy, Russell Caine, Jr. & wife Lois;two sisters, Jane Price and Betty Pickens; numerous nieces and nephews. Grandsons & nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations my be made to the American Heart Association or Moulton Baptist Church.
