Hobert Pruitt Sr. Decatur
Funeral for Hobert Pruitt Sr., 76, of Decatur will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Reverend Ben Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens with a Masonic graveside service. Visitation will be today from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Pruitt, who died Monday, July 30, 2012, at Decatur General Hospital, was born in Tennessee. He was a 50-year Mason and member of Rising Sun Masonic Lodge No. 29. He was an instructor at Calhoun Community College for eight years and was the founder of Pruitt Office Machine. Mr. Pruitt was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy Pruitt; one son, Hobert Pruitt Jr. and his wife, Cathy; three grandsons; one brother; J.W. Pruitt; two sisters, Christine Wisdom and Elaine Barnett.
