Funeral services for Homer "Buddy" Clifton Long, 87, of Hartselle, will be Thursday February 16, 2023 at 11:00AM at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with his pastor of 36 years Hal Daigre officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery directly after the service. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Homer C. Long died Saturday February 10, 2023  Mr. Long was born February 27, 1935, in Lawrence County, Alabama to Wallace and Virgie Long.  Homer served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He was an active member at Mt. Zion Mason's Lodge in Moulton. Mr. Long also served as a Master Mason.  He retired from Wolverine Tube after 35 years and was a member of the First Independent Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Eloise Holbert Long; his parents; son, Lyle Long; and his sister, Nell Russell.

H.C. Long is survived by his sons, Lance (Donna) Long and Lyn (Carrie) Long; sister, Jean Moebes; grandsons, Evan Long (Leonna),  Riley Long, Brandon Long and Cody Long, and great granddaughter, Seaonna "CJ" Long.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
