Horace O. Daniel, of Waterloo, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012. He was 66.
The visitation will be Friday at Elkins Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The graveside service, with military honors, will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Gravelly Springs Cemetery. Bro. Gerald Smith and Bro. Bobby Crosswhite will officiate.
Mr. Daniel was a member of the Gravelly Springs Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for Brewer Foods in Collinwood, TN He was a fun-loving grandfather that will be greatly missed by his grandchildren. His stories of the one-eyed frog will long live in their memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents Olen and Clara Dee Daniel.
Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife Margaret Clemmons Daniel; a son Greg Daniel (Kelli) of Florence; granddaughter Mykell Daniel; grandsons Kaden and Kai Daniel; sisters Barbara Rich (Larry) of Jacksonville, FL and Lois Skipworth (Jerry) of Sylacauga, AL; a brother Tommy Daniel (Waneta) of Waterloo; 5 nephews and 4 nieces.
Pallbearers will be Russ Clemmons, Carl Witt, Ty Watson, Josh Daniel, Jesse Daniel and Dennis Brown. Honorary bearers will be Glenn Clemmons, Lynn Sharp, Neil Skipworth and Shane Spillers.
