Hubert Edward Smith, 64 of Decatur passed away Saturday March 9, 2019. He was born October 25, 1954 to Willie Edward Smith and Luvenie Mitchell Smith-Tingle. He worked for the City of Marion for 19 years as a police dispatcher and was a lifelong member of Pineview Assembly of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather Marion Tingle.

He is survived by his sisters Linda Smith and husband Julian and Judy Smith Arnold and husband Glenn; brother Randall Smith and wife Amy; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staffs of USA Healthcare in Decatur, First Response Ambulance, DCI of Decatur, and Fresenius Kidney Care of Decatur.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
