Inger Bjorg Spiotto age 79 of Killen passed on Friday, June 26, 2015. Visitation will be Tuesday Evening June 30, 2015 at Elkins East Chapel from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at Elkins East Chapel with Father Roy Runkle officiating. Burial will be at St. Michaels Cemetery.
Inger Bjorg Spiotto was born in Bergen Norway. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Eugene V. Spiotto of Killen, Al. Her daughters, Rose Inger Hollis and husband David A. Hollis,M.D. of Florence, Al, and Rita Elisabeth Penhallegon and Husband Thomas G. Penhallegon of Roswell, GA. Her grandchildren, Sean Hollis and Fiancee Melissa Latko of Oxford, MS, Heather Hollis Simmerer and husband James Simmerer of Madison, AL, Dylan Ward of Roswell, GA, Alexander Ward of Roswell, GA, and Thomas Penhallegon of Roswell, GA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Inger was preceded in death by her mother Dagny Andresen, Father Sigurd Skodven, Step Father Sverre Andresen and sister, Eva Madsen, all of Norway.
Inger was a professional fashion model in her younger years. She married and moved to the United States where she proudly became a citizen. She was a member of the Sons of Norway, The Foreign Nations Club, and a key organizer of the International Festival of Southern New Jersey. She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Florence, AL.
Pallbearers will be David A. Hollis, M.D., Thomas G. Penhallegon, Sean Hollis, James Simmerer, Dylan Ward and Alexander Ward.
