Ingrid White Butler 88, of Florence Alabama passed away on September 7th 2017, at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Florence Alabama.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 10, 2017, 1:30-3 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3 PM in the Chapel. Burial will be at Butler Cemetery.
Ingrid Butler was born on May 31st 1929 in Frankfurt, Alabama. She was a member of Christ Chapel Church in Florence Alabama. Ingrid had a great love for her Lord and Savior as well as for her Children and Grandchildren and most particularly the many dogs that she raised over the course of her life. She loved to read and appointed herself a founding curator of the extensive Mitchell Hollingsworth Lending Library. She had resided at Mitchell Hollingsworth since 2011 where she was much beloved by the staff. Her esteem was on great display during the last days of her life as many, many staff members came by to tell her they loved her. The outpouring of love shown by Mitchell Hollingsworth and the staff at Amedysis Hospice was very gratifying and comforting to the family and will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Eileen) Butler, Timothy (Sherrie) Butler, Christopher (Wanda) Butler, and Kevin (Beth) Butler; grandchildren, Craig Butler, Brandon (James) Butler, Jacob Butler, Lindsay Pavel, Andrew Butler, Lindsay Butler and Maria Butler; brothers, Euell (Euna) White and J.G. (Billie) White; three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dillard Butler; grandchildren, Brittany Butler and Zachary Butler; parents, Thomas and Nannie Jackson White; brothers, Rex (May) White, Almon (Mill''ne) White and Clinton White; sisters, Eddie (Lowell) Springer, Rose Nell (Charles)McAulliffe, Fraulein (Olie) Butler and Nadine White.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Hornbuckle, Tirey Cole, Tommy McAulliffe and Andrew Butler.
