Funeral for Irby C. Johnson, 84, of Decatur will be Thursday, February 27, 2014,at 1 p.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Gunn and Rev. Sherry Harris officiating. Burial will be in Sylone Cemetery with a 3 p.m. graveside. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Johnson, who died Monday, February 24, 2014, was born July 29, 1929, in Fort Payne to the late Lawson Clemit and Mary Chitwood Johnson. He was the founding member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. He was the owner of Irby Johnson Ford and a car dealer.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Wales Johnson; two daughters, Kathy Johnson Manning and Nancy Andrews and her husband, Keith; and two grandchildren, Kevin Manning and Sophie Manning.
Memorials may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
