Funeral for Jack L. Jones, age 70, of Decatur will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Bro. Nick Ray officiating. Burial will be at Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight, April 6, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Jones, who died Friday, April 3, 2015, was born June 22, 1944, in Lawrence to Edward and Earline Jones. He was a precious man who loved his family. He helped anyone and everyone. There was nothing he could not fix, build or figure out. He really was a "Jack" of all trades.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Scott Jones; brother, Jimmy Edward Jones and his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Willodean Jones; son, Chris Jones (Judy); daughters, Kay Glenn (Terry) and Beth Welch; five grandchildren, Krista (Chris), Nichlaus, Clay, Chris (April), and Brandon; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb, McKenzie and Connor; brothers, Dallas Jones (Toni) and Billy Jones (Valarie); sisters, Brenda Howard (Ray) and Linda Bunnell; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
