Decatur Jackie Van Martin passed away quietly while sleeping on June 21.
Jackie was born on May 26, 1952, in Guntersville, the second child of James Calvin and Evia Ruth Martin.
Jackie is survived by the pride of his life, his two children, Van Patrick Martin and Caroline Hayse Martin. Additionally, he is survived by his older brother, James W. Martin and father, James "Corky" Martin.
A reception for Jackie will be held at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home, Decatur, Thursday, June 25, 4:30-5:30 p.m. with a memorial service immediately afterwards.
