James Nathaniel Brumley, Jr., 84, of Lexington died Saturday, November 26, 2011 at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011, from 12-2PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2PM in the Chapel, with Bro. Kenny Morgan officiating. Burial will be at Springfield Cemetery. Mr. Brumley was a WWII veteran and served in the US Army. He was a member of Springfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was an avid Alabama Football Fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Bailey Brumley; son, James Dwight Brumley; and his parents, James Nathaniel and Mary Susan Brumley. Mr. Brumley is survived by his daughter, Mitzi House; four grandsons, Eric Brumley, Ryan House (Meredith), Tyler House, and Jamey Hammond (Melissa); sister, Louise Tompkins; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bailey; special son-in-law, Clay Hammond; two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Mattie Hammond; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be the Elders at Springfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The family would like to thank ALL his caregivers who loved and cared for him.
