Obituary

Mr. James Monroe Campbell, age 74, of Florence, AL passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014. Visitation will be held at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence, 1535 Hermitage Drive, Florence, AL, Wednesday November 5, from 12-2pm with service immediately following in the Chapel, Officiating will be Richard Riley and Phillip Clemons. He will be laid to rest at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents, Hughs and Madgie Campbell, of Hatton, AL.

Survivors include his wife Norma Jean Campbell; daughter, Myra (Robin) Rhoden, and son, Terry (Belinda) Campbell; grandchildren, Adam (Aubrey) Campbell, Emily (Daniel) Fields, Christian Campbell, Bryan Campbell, Ashley Epperson, and James Epperson; one great-grandchild, Abram James Fields; and one sister, Geneva Graham; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

James, loving husband, father, grandfather, and family man who lived his life in a Godly fashion and served as an elder at The ARC Ministries of Florence. He retired from Reynold's Metal Company after 32yrs of service, and went on to work as a heavy equipment operator for C&I Crane Services. He was also a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 320, since 1961. His life influenced many others, and he will be greatly missed.
